I had read that it was normal to be taken to theatre if you needed vontousse, but that didnt happen with me. Anyone know what is normally done?

I had one of these Lucy with Johnson (the suction cap!) and they just did it in the normal deliery room.

I dont know if it would of hurt any more then if it wouldnt of been used as i had an epidural by this point - they only used it just as he was comming out as he wasnt comming out quick enough.

I can remember feeling the tugging of it and the noise when they pumped the end bit - just like the noise u get when having ur blood pressure taken and the nurse sqweezes the rubber ball thingy xx

Nah, it wouldnt have hurt more without the epidural, because they give you an anesthetic down there - that bit hurt though! Its called a pudendal block.
They didnt have to cut me actually, which i was pleased about. (biut i did tear and need stitches) I remember very little of that bit, but i do remember shouting at the dr controlling the suction cup! I told him to "stop f*****g pulling, 'cause im not f*****g pushing!" His eyes (which was all i could see above his mask and my belly) were terrified! LOL!
I was the same as you char, i was warned i might need another section, as he was distressed, but luckily for me, the whole labour went so quickly, they didnt really have time to make the decision, as suddenly he was there!
